Stuart brings a wealth of experience to Hedgehog. He has occupied senior positions in British Gas, Centrica, Barclays, Co-op Bank, Co-opGroup, 118 118 Money and Fiinu Bank, most recently as a Board Level COO. This range of businesses means that he understands the different cultural challenges presented by PLC’s, Mutuals, Private Equity, FinTechs and Start-ups.

Stuart’s Executive career has seen him typically leading large scale operations and their technology and business transformation agendas. He has an extensive track record of achievement in FS and other highly regulated businesses. Large scale operational and technology led transformations have been a hallmark of his career. The regulated nature of the businesses he has worked in have also given him a deep understanding of what is required to successfully manage enterprise risk.

Whilst Stuart boasts an impressive CV his primary strength is his ability to lead and to work with people to help shape and build outstanding teams. With proven top class leadership credentials across a wide range of cultural environments Stuart’s vast experience has taken in all the real leadership challenges from Board/C-Suite level to the shop floor, and has seen him successfully navigate growth, contraction, and crisis.

Stuart splits his time between London and the North-West and whilst he is totally flexible, he has a strong preference for face-to-face engagements. He likes to follow a simple but proven model. Solutions come from a thorough examination of the client’s current state which then allows clients to define the gaps to their target state. Agreed actions will then enable successful outcomes.
